Job summary

BP seeks a Lead Development Systems Engineer to act as the senior technical authority for the Corporate Land team. This role bridges operations and delivery, shaping architecture, roadmaps, and standards for scalable automation, data, and AI-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
10+ years in software development, data engineering, automation, or analytics.
Led architecture and end-to-end delivery of complex data/software/AI solutions.
Proficient in Python and SQL with clean, tested code.
Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Palantir and related platforms.
Knowledge of CI/CD, data governance, security, and SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical lead and solutions architect for Corporate Land.
Own end-to-end delivery for automation, data, analytics, and AI-enabled products.
Design data pipelines, queries, applications, and analytical products.
Establish reusable engineering standards, testing, observability, and deployment controls.
Build a prioritized technical roadmap aligned with strategy and architecture direction.
Mentor engineers and analysts through code reviews and knowledge transfer.
Monitor performance, reliability, adoption, and cost of deployed products.
