Job summary

Unum seeks a strategic Manager to lead governance, adoption, and optimization of its enterprise Data & AI platforms. You will partner across Data Engineering, Analytics, AI, Architecture, Security, and Governance to establish standards and drive value.

You will guide platform strategy, ensure security and scalability, and translate business needs into technical plans while mentoring a team of data professionals to deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, mathematics, or statistics preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on experience acting as a Data Engineer, BI Analyst or Data Scientist.
• Experience with analytics programming languages (SQL/R/Python)

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day management of enterprise Data & AI platforms.
• Establish and enforce platform governance standards, policies, and operating procedures.
• Measure platform utilization, adoption, and value realization across business and technology teams.
• Oversee the execution of a team's analytics strategy and ensure goals and deadlines.
• Oversee best practices in data & analytics projects to drive standardization.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff within their team.
• Mentor and train team members on statistical methods and tools.
