KellyMitchell is seeking a Cyber Security Engineering Lead / Cryptography SME for a remote, W-2 role with a leading financial services and technology provider in the United States. The position focuses on designing and implementing enterprise cryptographic solutions, Protegrity data protection, and cloud automation.

Candidates will work across AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, Linux/Unix, and IaC tools like Ansible and Terraform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
• 3+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on cryptography experience.
• 2+ years configuring and supporting Protegrity Data Protection solutions.
• 2+ years working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• 2+ years of Unix/Linux administration experience, including SELinux.
• 2+ years of experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance enterprise cryptographic solutions.
• Lead as SME for Protegrity data protection environments.
• Develop infrastructure automation for Linux and cloud environments using Ansible and Terraform.

Job Summary

Our client, a leading financial services and technology provider, is seeking a Cyber Security Engineering Lead / Cryptography SME to join their team. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance enterprise cryptographic solutions, including encryption, hashing, and digital signature technologies, while supporting governance, compliance, and security standards


• Serve as the lead subject matter expert for mission-critical Protegrity data protection environments, including encryption, tokenization, and file protection technologies


• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible and Terraform to support large-scale Linux and cloud-based environments


• Assess security risks related to data confidentiality and integrity, perform threat modeling, and recommend mitigation strategies


• Partner with cybersecurity, architecture, engineering, and development teams to implement and support enterprise data protection solutions across cloud and data platforms

Required Skills/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field


• 3+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience


• 2+ years of hands-on cryptography experience


• 2+ years of experience configuring and supporting Protegrity Data Protection solutions


• 2+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud


• 2+ years of Unix/Linux administration experience, including SELinux


• 2+ years of experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible and Terraform

Preferred Skills/Experience

• 7+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience in enterprise environments


• 4+ years of experience administering and supporting Protegrity Data Protection and Protegrity Cloud Protector solutions


• Experience with Linux file systems and storage technologies, including NFS, GPFS, clustering, replication, and high-availability architectures


• Experience with scripting or development languages such as Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl, or Ruby


• Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is $49.00 and $70.00. Please note that the final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
