Job Title: Cybersecurity / Cryptography Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity / Cryptography Engineer to help design, implement, and govern enterprise security solutions protecting sensitive financial data and services.

This role will work closely with cybersecurity product managers, architects, and engineering teams to develop secure cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with cryptography, HSMs, certificate lifecycle management, secrets management, and cloud‑native security technologies.

This is a hands‑on technical role that combines cryptographic engineering, cybersecurity, cloud security, security governance, and engineering collaboration. The engineer may also be expected to write or review code, evaluate security implementations, and mentor other engineers.

What You'll Do

• Lead and contribute to technology projects involving cryptography, distributed systems, microservices, and full‑stack security solutions.
• Design and implement cryptographic solutions involving encryption, hashing, digital signatures, key management, and cryptographic primitives.
• Assess security risks related to data confidentiality and integrity, identify vulnerabilities, and understand potential cyber‑threat impacts.
• Work with cloud‑native technologies across AWS, Azure, or GCP to develop secure enterprise solutions.
• Work with HSM technologies, including Futurex and Thales, for secure key storage and cryptographic operations.
• Manage and support certificate lifecycle management using platforms such as Venafi, DigiCert, or similar solutions.
• Implement and manage secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault or equivalent platforms.
• Work with security automation and orchestration platforms such as Cortex XSOAR.
• Develop and enhance enterprise cryptography governance frameworks, including policies, standards, controls, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity product managers, architects, developers, and other technology teams.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity and cryptography technologies and participate in technology communities.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Write, review, or evaluate code and scripts when required.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• 4+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• 2+ years of hands‑on cryptography experience.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud‑native technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 2+ years of Unix/Linux system administration experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Futurex and/or Thales HSMs.
• 2+ years of experience with Venafi, DigiCert, or other certificate lifecycle management platforms.
• 2+ years of experience with HashiCorp Vault or other secrets management solutions.
• 1+ year of experience with Cortex XSOAR.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of Cybersecurity Engineering experience.
• 4+ years of experience with security tools/frameworks such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, or similar technologies.
• 2+ years working within Agile development practices.
