Job summary

Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) Division of Facilities Management – North District seeks a full-time Custodian/Facilities Lead to support CMHHFL,WRRC group homes, and youth centers, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety.

You will train staff, inspect work, schedule daily duties, manage supplies, and perform routine and emergency cleaning to meet regulatory requirements, including snow removal and basic maintenance.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Train employees and coordinate daily duties.
• Complete monthly re-inspections.
• Ensure work complies with current DFM standards.
• Schedule projects and coordinate with area staff and supervisor.
• Arrange a daily cleaning schedule around staffing and requests.
• Ensure proper area coverage under heavy workloads.
• Perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and servicing per schedules.
• Use disinfectants and equipment to clean and sanitize.
• Detailed cleaning of walls, windows, fixtures and floors.
• Perform floor care (buffing, stripping, waxing, carpet extraction).
• Move furniture as needed.
• Collect and dispose of trash and waste properly.
• Replace light bulbs and assist with minor repairs.
• Manage equipment and supply inventories.
• Provide essential/emergency services as needed.
