Job summary

Washington County, MN seeks a Lead Custodian to oversee custodial operations, train staff, and provide performance input. You will coordinate cleaning, floor care, event setups, maintenance, grounds work, and snow removal to keep facilities safe and clean.

You will direct custodians, conduct orientation, inspect facilities, and ensure security. The role requires a high school diploma, some custodial experience, and leadership abilities; hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• This position requires a high school diploma and two years of custodial work experience OR a high school diploma and six months experience as Washington County Custodian and leadership experience.
• Ability to train and direct custodial staff and provide feedback to supervision.
• Experience delivering consistent customer service in a custodial setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide work direction to other custodians and deliver orientation and training.
• Inspect facilities and schedule work to meet needs beyond daily routines.
• Provide quality control and ensure appearance and cleanliness standards.
• Serve as primary contact for custodial work within facilities.
• Perform interior and exterior maintenance tasks and snow/ice control as needed.
