Job summary

Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of cleaning practices, HVAC systems, and basic trades. Proficiency with computer tools such as spreadsheets, calendar, email, and School Dude is preferred.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment.
• Good knowledge of heating and ventilating equipment operation/maintenance.
• Working knowledge of tools and practices of one or more trades.
• Ability to use computer applications such as spreadsheets, calendar, e-mail, and School Dude.

Responsibilities

• Assigns tasks and supervises Custodial Workers, Cleaners, and Substitute Cleaners.
• Supervises maintenance and operation of heating and ventilating systems.
• Inspects maintenance activities for best practices.
• Inspects work by private contractors.
• Manages cleaning supplies inventory and distribution.
• Prepares work schedules and time records.
• Keeps records of supplies used and activities.
