Scarsdale Public Schools is seeking a dependable Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and community. You will perform routine cleaning and light maintenance to ensure facilities support teaching and learning.

Requirements include cleaning methods knowledge, ability to operate equipment, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Location: Scarsdale, NY; work hours Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Non-Exempt status. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of cleaning methods, supplies, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and perform routine custodial tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work independently, follow directions, and contribute as a member of a team.

Responsabilités

• Sweep, mop, strip, wax, and maintain floors.
• Vacuum carpets and rugs.
• Wash windows and other glass surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
• Dust woodwork, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Replace light bulbs as needed.
• Operate custodial equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Shovel snow and assist with seasonal grounds maintenance.
• Adjust thermostats and perform other routine building support tasks.
