Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care seeks a Lead Imaging Technologist to oversee the CT Department operations, coordinate patient scheduling, and guide day-to-day work for imaging staff. The role includes protocol development, staff training, and ensuring quality and budget considerations across CT procedures.

The Lead Technologist will supervise scheduling, perform CT scans, monitor equipment, and participate in performance evaluations and QA activities while collaborating with physicians and hospital

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program in Radiological Science.
• Registration as CT technologist from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• 2 years of clinical work experience in an imaging role.
• Good understanding of human anatomy.
• Experience reading and interpreting complex radiology orders.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and triages procedures based on priority level and skills needed.
• Performs routine and complex diagnostic CT scans.
• Assures the smooth flow of section activities and provides resources when needed.
• Contributes to decision making for hiring and performance evaluation of imaging staff.
• Acts as a point of contact for hospital staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Monitors equipment and coordinates repairs and maintenance.
• Coordinates and participates in staff training and education.
• Updates imaging guidelines and disseminates protocol changes to staff.
• Assists with ACR certification / credentialing.
