Job summary

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, CA, is recruiting for a Lead CT Radiologic Technologist to perform CTs and radiographs during specialized procedures and to function in a lead capacity. This role supports neurological, cardiologic, vascular, and other diagnostic workups in a tertiary hospital setting.

Official title is Senior Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist; ARRM offers excellent benefits, on-call accommodations, and a wage differential via MBO. Review MOU for details.

Qualifications

  • Must be certified by State of California as Radiologic Technologist.
  • CRT/Fluoroscopy certification issued by CA CDPH.
  • ARRT registration as CT Technologist.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association.
  • Venipuncture certification for contrast media.
  • Three years of recent CT/Special Procedures experience in past five years.
  • One year of lead or supervising technologist experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead capacity in the unit and perform CTs and radiographs during specialized procedures.
  • Contribute to diagnosis of neurological, cardiologic, vascular, and other disorders.
  • Support on-call coverage and collaborative teamwork in a high-demand hospital setting.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Lead CT Radiologic Technologist* who will function in a lead capacity and produce CT's and/or radiographs during specialized procedures for the diagnosis of neurological, cardiologic, vascular disorders, joint, lung, venous, throat, breast, arterial, and/or spinal disorders.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER: Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical and verification of employment history and education.

On-call Schedule: Incumbents scheduled to be on-call must be able to arrive to the hospital within 1 hour after receiving a call. Incumbents must indicate a willingness to accept and be able to arrive within 1 hour for assignments. Please refer to MOU for additional details and compensation (Page 117).

Availability: ARMC is a twenty-four hour facility; applicants must indicate their shift availability in the Supplemental Questionnaire of the application. Shift differentials are provided.

Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.

Candidates must possess all of the following:

  • Must be certified by State of California Department of Public Health as a Radiologic Technologist
  • CRT/Fluoroscopy issued by State of California Department of Public Health
  • Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association
  • Venipuncture Certification for contrast media
  • Must possess registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Computerized Tomography (CT) Technologist
  • Three (3) years of recent experience within the past five (5) years as a Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist/ CT Technologist, which includes (1) one year in an acute care setting and (2) two years in a hospital or ambulatory setting.

One (1) year of experience as a lead technologist or supervising technologist is highly desirable.
