Neros is recruiting a Lead, Software Application Engineer to own the development of web, desktop, and Android tools and backend services used to plan missions, configure the system, and analyze flight data. You will lead the team and drive delivery across front‑end and backend capabilities.

You will stay hands‑on, review code, and shape architecture while growing a high‑performing, cross‑functional team to support rapid capability delivery for operators in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Led a software team with hands-on management and technical direction.
• Experience in modern web and cross‑platform desktop development with backend services.
• Built applications that function offline and synchronize when online.
• Strong judgment on architecture, data modeling, and security trade‑offs.
• Interfaces between team and leadership; blockers cleared effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the application/backend development team, including hiring and mentorship.
• Own end‑to‑end application development across Windows, Linux, macOS, and web.
• Oversee backend services, APIs, data pipelines, identity, tenancy, and software updates.
• Ensure offline capability and seamless operation without backend connectivity.
• Make critical architecture calls on front‑end, data model, and security considerations.
• Set engineering/operational quality: code review, testing, CI/CD, observability, on‑call.
• Remain hands‑on: review code and contribute to architecture across stack.
