Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a lead CRNA to coordinate anesthesia services for diverse surgical procedures at our Birmingham facilities. The role includes clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and acting as a clinical resource for staff and physicians.

The position emphasizes autonomy, collaboration with anesthesiologists and surgeons, and participation in a high-volume surgical program with opportunities for professional growth, in a major university-affiliated health system in Alabama.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Two years of related anesthesia experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate anesthesia services under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardiac procedures.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and act as a clinical resource.
• Lead daily operations, ensure adequate staff coverage, and coach allied health personnel and students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
