Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a CRNA to lead anesthesia coordination for diverse surgical procedures at the UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham campus. The role supports anesthesiologists and surgeons with autonomy in patient care and teaching opportunities for nurse anesthesia students.

You'll join a robust team of 15 anesthesiologists and 70+ CRNAs in a busy, academic environment known for cutting-edge medicine and patient-centered care across multiple facilities in central Alabama.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Two years of related experience; work experience may not substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff and students.
• Lead daily operations and ensure adequate staff coverage during procedures.
