Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a lead-certified registered nurse anesthetist to coordinate anesthesia services under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse procedures and diagnostic tests. You will participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and serve as a clinical resource to staff.

The role supports autonomy for CRNAs within a collegial team across UAB St. Vincent’s facilities, primarily at the Birmingham campus, with opportunities to mentor and guide a large anesthesia

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and two (2) years of related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate anesthesia services under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse procedures.
• Lead clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and act as a clinical resource.
• Mentor allied health personnel and student nurse anesthetists; oversee staff coverage and workload.
