Job summary

Stream Data Centers is seeking a Lead Critical Engineering Technician to join our Elk Grove Village, IL team. The role is on-site Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, reporting to the Critical Facilities Manager.

You will maintain, monitor, and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical equipment including HVAC, power systems, and control networks. Responsibilities include leading maintenance activities, writing procedures, and mentoring CETs, while ensuring safety and

Qualifications

• Experience in critical facility operations and maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis (RCCA).
• Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret technical docs to resolve issues.
• Create and close maintenance work orders in the CMMS.
• Lead maintenance activities with vendors and junior technicians.
• Monitor BMS data, power, cooling, and PUE metrics.
• Develop and follow MOPs/EOPs, assist RCCA investigations.
• Maintain records and support 24/7 coverage as needed.
