Job summary

Stream Data Centers operates mission-critical facilities across the United States, delivering secure and reliable data center services. The Critical Engineering Technician role conducts hands-on maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems and requires strict safety, documentation, and operations discipline.

The CET will monitor building systems, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, analyze data for efficiency, and work with CMMS/BMS/DCIM tools to ensure high reliability

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in critical environment operations, maintenance, and/or engineering supporting critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety requirements and regulations, including OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, EPA regulations, and refrigerant handling practices.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and cooling infrastructure, including CRAH/CRAC units and refrigerant cycles.
• Understanding of critical infrastructure, redundancies, and power/cooling requirements for IT loads.
• Experience overseeing and coordinating vendor work.

Responsibilities

• Follow Stream Data Centers procedures and maintenance work instructions.
• Read blueprints and resolve equipment issues.
• Oversee all work efforts for safe operation, maintenance, and modification of critical equipment.
• Disable/enable fire alarm control panels and systems.
• Create and execute CMMS work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical issues as required.
