Job summary

JLL in Charlotte, NC is looking for an experienced facilities leader to take charge of operations and maintenance for critical building systems. You will supervise a high-performing engineering team, oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure maximum uptime and client satisfaction.

This role combines hands-on technical work with strong leadership, coordinating with contractors, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving energy efficiency initiatives in a raised-floor data-center

Qualifications

• Experience with critical building systems including MEP, fire safety, and BMS.
• Leadership of engineering teams and coordination with contractors.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and work orders.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance for critical facilities.
• Energy management and sustainability experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations and maintenance on assigned shift, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.
• Operate and monitor HVAC, UPS, generators, chillers, and BMS.
• Provide training and support to shift engineers and maintenance technicians.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs with scheduling and parts ordering.
• Process work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance and document materials.
• Respond to emergencies with real-time guidance and problem resolution.
• Conduct facility inspections and assess operations and staff performance.
• Develop annual maintenance plans and capital improvement strategies.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain building documentation.
