Job summary

The City of Corpus Christi is seeking a Crime Scene Unit Supervisor to lead the CSI team, oversee scene processing, and ensure compliant operations within accreditation standards. This role reports to the Assistant Crime Lab Manager and involves both operational and administrative duties, including response to critical incidents.

Responsibilities include directing staff, coordinating resources, maintaining safety, and representing the department in court as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum five years of experience.
• Experience as a technical leader preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Unit and supervise CSI personnel.
• Coordinate assignments, priorities, and resource needs for the unit.
• Ensure compliance with department, city, accreditation standards, and laws.
• Act as liaison with investigators, district attorneys, and other agencies.
• Review crime scene reports and supporting documentation for quality and accuracy.
• Lead training, development, and performance evaluations of CSI staff.
• Respond to crime scenes in a working capacity and provide technical guidance.
