Job summary
Mission Pet Health seeks a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our Alameda area hospitals. You will deliver patient care, assist with anesthesia, and perform lab work while guiding the medical team to maintain smooth operations.
You will educate clients, review medical records, and respond to questions with care and clarity. A licensed experience in veterinary nursing supports our mission to provide compassionate care and excellent service.
Qualifications
- Graduate of AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
- Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
- A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for collaboration.
- One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
- Lead and mentor the medical team to ensure efficient workflow and growth.
- Serve as a key contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments and reviewing medical records.
- Contribute to a positive hospital culture through training and feedback.
