Job summary

Alpharus Health in Springfield, IL, seeks a Counselor Supervisor (CADC) to lead clinical services within our residential program. You will supervise counselors, conduct assessments and develop treatment plans, while maintaining hands-on direct care as part of a balanced role.

Requirements include CADC credential, a bachelor's degree in psychology or related field, at least three years in substance use treatment, and strong supervisory and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 100 hours of clinical training required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in the substance use field.
• CADC credential required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessment of client substance use history and treatment needs and prepares a treatment plan.
• Conducts individual and group counseling sessions; documents treatment and discharge plans and progress notes.
• Supervises counselors and direct care staff; guides activities of the treatment program.
• Plans caseload for staff and audits client records.
• Serves as resource to staff for complex cases.
• Orients, trains, and develops assigned staff.
• Assists in developing policies and procedures and ensures compliance.
