Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Lead Counselor for the Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at our Center City Philadelphia location. The role blends direct clinical care with program leadership, serving as a clinical resource for the treatment team and ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in a behavioral health field and PHP/IOP experience with strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Previous experience working in an Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), or similar behavioral health setting preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices, clinical documentation, and multidisciplinary care.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for counselors within the Adult PHP program.
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments and evaluate clients to determine the appropriate level of care.
• Develop DSM-5-TR diagnoses and collaborate with the treatment team to create individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and case consultations.
• Maintain a reduced caseload while providing clinical support to ensure continuity of care and program coverage.
• Assist the Program Director with day-to-day clinical operations and workflow.
• Review clinical documentation and support compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Provide crisis intervention and promote a safe, therapeutic treatment environment.
• Contribute to program development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
