Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare seeks a Lead Counselor for the Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at High Focus Centers – Lansdale, PA. This role blends direct clinical care with leadership, supporting counselors while ensuring high-quality treatment.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in a behavioral health field, PA licensure, and PHP/IOP experience, with focus on adults and co-occurring disorders. No weekends; weekday schedule with evening coverage two days per week.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or related field from an accredited institution.
Completion of a clinical internship or practicum required.
Experience in PHP/IOP or similar outpatient behavioral health setting preferred.
Experience treating adults with mental health and co-occurring disorders required.
PA licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day support to counselors and program staff within the Adult PHP.
Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups for adults with mental health and co-occurring disorders.
Complete comprehensive assessments and collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans.
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans.
Coordinate care with referral sources, families, and other healthcare providers to support continuity of care.
Maintain a minimum of 25 billable sessions per week.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
Serve as a mentor and clinical resource for counselors.

Lead Counselor – Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Location: High Focus Centers – Lansdale, PA

High Focus Centers is a leading provider of outpatient mental health and substance use treatment throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. Through our specialized programs—Rehab After Work, The Light Program, and Seeds of Hope—we provide compassionate, evidence‑based care to adults and adolescents facing mental health and co‑occurring disorders.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Counselor (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) to provide clinical leadership within our Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This role combines direct clinical care with leadership responsibilities, supporting both clients and fellow clinicians while helping ensure the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based treatment.

Schedule

Three daytime shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Two evening shifts: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM

This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends, while providing evening coverage for our Adult PHP program two days each week.

Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical leadership and day‑to‑day support to counselors and program staff within the Adult PHP.
Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups for adults with mental health and co‑occurring disorders.
Complete comprehensive assessments and collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans.
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and insurance reviews.
Coordinate care with referral sources, families, and other healthcare providers to support continuity of care.
Maintain a minimum of 25 billable sessions per week while assisting with overall program operations.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, case consultations, and quality improvement initiatives.
Serve as a mentor and clinical resource for counselors, promoting best practices and professional development.
Assist with additional clinical and operational responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
Completion of a clinical internship or practicum required.
Experience working in a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), or a similar outpatient behavioral health setting preferred.
Experience treating adults with mental health and co‑occurring disorders required.
Experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and other evidence‑based treatment approaches strongly preferred.
Previous leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience is highly preferred.
Pennsylvania licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) required.
