Job summary

Welch Packaging Group Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance department, supervise technicians, and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.

The role focuses on equipment reliability, safety, and cost-controls across our corrugated packaging facilities. The candidate will oversee daily operations, coordinate maintenance schedules, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and optimize productivity.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Electrical certification preferred.
• Corrugated packaging industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Proficient with shop tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance technicians and provide coaching and mentoring.
• Schedule technicians and manage preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program.
• Communicate goals, train, and motivate team for success.
• Schedule preventive maintenance on all machinery.
• Respond to emergency work orders within set timeframes.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines.
• Maintain equipment to improve productivity, waste, and quality.
