Job summary

Summit, in partnership with Elior North America, is seeking a Food Service Director for an onsite role at the Curry County Dentention Center in New Mexico. You will lead a skilled team of food service workers, manage all dining operations, ensure safety and sanitation standards, and drive budgeting and procurement to meet targets.

The role requires coordinating food service operations, strong communication across hourly staff and executives, and experience with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience coordinating food service operations.
• Experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication with staff and executives.
• Ability to manage in a diverse client service environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Managing all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensuring that staff meet all culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budgeting for the department, including directly purchasing ingredients and ensuring the account meets all targets and forecasts.
• Conferring with the district manager or other departments regarding the technical and administrative aspects of dining service.
