Qualifications

• Must meet statutory age and education requirements plus two years of correctional or security experience.
• Possess 30 college hours or a high school diploma/GED with appropriate training.
• Must pass required testing and fitness evaluations and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and supervision of inmates and posts.
• Escort inmates to work sites and manage equipment, keys, and tools.
• Patrol yards and facilities; monitor inmate conduct and enforce rules.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain controlled movement of people and items.
• Respond to riots or fires and participate in escapes and apprehension teams.
