Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Journeyman-level craftsman to construct, fabricate, install and dismantle formwork for metal, wood and fixtures. You will read blueprints, lay out forms, load materials, and assemble bracing for concrete structures.

You will operate carpentry tools, erect scaffolding, and verify tolerances with levels and transit while adhering to safety rules and project requirements. This role is on site in Tennessee with potential for leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with field experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret plans accurately.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Builds and erects form work and supports for concrete structures.
• Reviews blueprints to determine materials and dimensions.
• Loads and transports materials to the work site.
• Joins timbers and braces to form concrete piers, footings and walls.
• Sets up scaffolding and installs ladders and walkways.
• Operates hand and power carpentry tools with safety.
• Ensures accuracy with levels, plumb bobs and transit.
• Monitors safety and project rules on site.
