Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking an experienced Journeyman to read blueprints, plan and perform field carpentry tasks independently. The role involves constructing, fabricating, installing and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolds, and temporary structures on various projects.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with experience in the field.
• Knowledge of commonly-used carpentry concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and established guidelines; works under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Build and install formwork for concrete structures and fixtures.
• Read blueprints or plans to determine materials and dimensions.
• Load, haul materials, and lay out forms on site.
• Brace forms, erect scaffolding, ladders, walkways and platforms.
• Operate hand and power carpentry tools safely.
• Follow safety rules and project guidelines.
