Job summary

JdV by Hyatt in Oceanside is seeking experienced line cooks for their Michelin star rated Valle restaurant. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in a full-service restaurant and possess strong culinary and communication skills. A Culinary Degree is preferred. The position offers competitive hourly rates starting at $21.50 to $26.00, depending on experience, along with additional benefits including complimentary hotel nights and employee meals.

Qualifications

A line cook requires good communication and culinary skills. Looking for professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures who is capable of producing a consistent product to meet and exceed guests' needs in a timely manner.

• Refined verbal communication skills.


• Culinary Degree or related experience preferred.


• 4+ years of previous line experience in a full-service restaurant. Preferably Mexican fine dining.


• Candidate should be able to perform all basic cooking skills.


• Able to work single station in the kitchen.


• Ability to stand for long periods of time.


• Must work well under pressure.


• Must be able to take direction from leader on recipes and follow recipes.


• Must have basic knife skills.


• Must have attention to detail.
