Job summary

Pinnacle North Bethesda is seeking a cook to support the Dining program by preparing all foods to meet quantity and deadline requirements. You will follow standardized recipes and coordinate meal production with serving hours, ensuring dietary needs are met.

In this role you will monitor temperature, taste, hygiene, and health standards, assist with training new kitchen staff, and adhere to safety and loss prevention procedures while following all applicable policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience as cook.
• Able to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to prepare therapeutic/modified diets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items using standardized recipes.
• Coordinate meal production with serving hours.
• Prepare therapeutic/modified diets as directed.
• Monitor temperature, taste, and quality of food items.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.
• Assist with orientation and training of new kitchen staff.
• Follow safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Attend in-services as required.
• Follow local, state, and federal food handling policies.
• Document temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules.
• Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned.
