Job summary

Mount Carmel Care Center in Lenox, MA is hiring a Lead Cook/Supervisor to oversee daily dining operations in a faith-based long-term care setting. You will prepare meals per menus, supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Dietary Director, and ensure proper sanitation and labeling of all prep work, while engaging with residents and their families to enhance dining experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to menus and recipes for the day.
• Supervise kitchen staff when Dietary Director is absent.
• Ensure all prep work is completed, labeled and dated.
• Utilize meal management system for printing tickets, adding new residents, etc.
• Ensure proper sanitation of the kitchen and equipment; proper use and care of all dishes, glassware and utensils.
• Close the kitchen at end of shift.
• Interact with families and residents regarding meals.
