McKnight Place Extended Care is seeking a full-time Cook to lead daily meal preparation for residents, following recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely service within a respectful, team-oriented kitchen.

You will be responsible for preparing well-balanced, nutritious meals each day. We value strong culinary skills, reliability, and a positive attitude, and offer support from a collaborative Culinary Team.

Qualifications

• ServSafe Certification is required (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience as a cook in a professional kitchen or food service setting is required.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals are prepared safely, consistently, and to high quality standards.
• Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation throughout service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work station.
• Properly store and label ingredients and food items to maintain freshness and safety.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and stock rotation as needed.
• Guide and support prep cooks and kitchen staff during meal service.
• Demonstrate teamwork, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
