Job summary

Mount Carmel Care Center in Lenox, MA is hiring a Lead Cook/Supervisor to oversee daily dining operations in a faith-based long-term care setting. You will prepare meals per menus, supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Dietary Director, and ensure proper sanitation and labeling of all prep work, while engaging with residents and their families to enhance dining experiences.

• Ensure proper sanitation of the kitchen and equipment; proper use and care of all dishes, glassware and utensils.
• Close the kitchen at end of shift.
• Interact with families and residents regarding meals.

Lead Cook/Supervisor

Come join us at Mount Carmel Care Center! We are a Faith-Based, Non-Profit, boutique-sized Long-Term Care facility (69 beds), nestled in the heart of the Berkshires. Twice voted "Best of the Berkshires," we are sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 2013 and maintain a mission-based environment for our staff and residents. We are seeking to hire a Lead Cook/Supervisor.

• $22 to $25 per hour based on skills and experience.
• Full-Time schedule.
• We pay 80% of health insurance premiums.
• Mount Carmel Care Center is Berkshire County's only faith based skilled nursing facility.

Lead Cook/Supervisor Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Institutional cooking and food service supervisory experience.
• Work within a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of the team.
• Must be able to interact with elderly residents and their families.
