Job summary

Brock & Company is seeking a Lead Cook for a private-school dining program in Newark, NJ. This full-time role pays $24–$26 per hour and offers comprehensive benefits as part of a dependable schedule and quality work environment.

The Lead Cook will oversee food preparation, station setup, and ensure food safety while delivering high-quality meals. Experience in institutional cooking and teamwork is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret recipes and production orders.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and personal hygiene standards.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift about 35 lbs.
• Comply with COVID-19 workplace safety protocols.
• Positive, proactive attitude and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Produce, prepare and cook foods including soups, sauces, salads, entrees and catering.
• Set up stations and equipment prior to service.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per supervisor instructions and health regulations.
