Job summary

Montecito Heights Healthcare and Wellness Centre in Los Angeles seeks a Food Service/Nutrition Assistant to prepare nutritious meals and supplements for residents, following Federal, State and Corporate requirements, and to maintain high standards of safety and sanitation.

You will supervise staff in the director's absence, attend meetings and in-services, and uphold professional presentation and patient/resident rights while delivering courteous, responsive consumer service.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness, organization and safety.
• Prior food service and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals and supplements for residents according to Federal, State and Corporate requirements.
• Perform duties in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Supervise staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services.
• Attend meetings and in-services as required.
• Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adheres to Company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensures all patient/resident rights are protected.
