The NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities seeks a Cook to support the Head Cook in high-volume kitchen operations. You will help supervise staff, manage daily food orders, and ensure compliance with health standards while coordinating meal preparation for individuals and staff across multiple units.

You will work closely with Dietitians on menu planning, training, and special-event food preparation, including accommodating special diets and allergies.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in large-scale cooking.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Head Cook and supervise FSW 2s in the department as floor supervisor.
• Order, receive, store, rotate, requisition, and dispense food and nonfood items per health standards.
• Assist in scheduling FSW 2s in the department.
• Coordinate menus with Dietitians and plan for emergencies and expired items.
• Prepare and distribute food for individuals and staff at units and houses as needed.
• Coordinate special events with other departments and staff.
