• Relays instructions and ensures work complies with sanitation practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates proper methods and inspects progress to ensure quality of food served.
• Plans and coordinates steps to have all items ready for serving at the same time.
• Prepares meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, sauces and gravies using varied cooking techniques.
• Estimates consumption and places orders for food and operating supplies; manages inventory.
• Ensures proper storage, refrigeration and labeling per sanitation regulations; maintains cleanliness of kitchen area.
