Job summary

Global Connections to Employment in Washington state is seeking a Cook II to prepare, portion, cook and present food for multiple meal periods at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The role supports meal service for various accounts and requires adherence to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in back of house food service, plus supervisory experience, and is capable of reading recipes, following menus, and working with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in back of house food service.
• Two years supervisory or lead role preferred.
• Must pass ServSafe Certification within 90 days.
• Must possess knowledge of basic operation of kitchen.
• Must be able to read and quantify recipes and menus.
• Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract(s).
• Must be able to interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, subcontractor, and GCE management staff.
• Must understand oral and/or written instructions.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
