Job summary

PATH is seeking a Lead Cook for its Interim Housing team in Los Angeles, CA. You will prepare nutritious meals for guests, supervise kitchen staff, and ensure three meals daily plus snacks are provided in a welcoming, homelike setting.

The role requires three years in a fast-paced food service, California Food Handlers certification, and the ability to manage inventory, safety, and menus while supporting program goals. Full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Three years of professional food service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• California Food Handlers Certificate current.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid training and pass background checks.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with a home-like environment during their stay in the PATH Interim Housing program.
• Oversee the preparation of large quantities of food according to recipes and menus.
• Manage kitchen staff schedules, stock supplies, and coordinate meal deliveries.
• Ensure meals are served on time and at proper temperatures.
• Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
• Assist with recipe development and monthly menu posting.
