Job summary

Homestead Health Center is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents in a safe, appetizing, and friendly manner. When the Manager is not present, you will supervise kitchen staff and ensure meals run smoothly.

The role requires ability to multitask, maintain a clean workspace, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior healthcare foodservice experience is preferred, with a focus on teamwork and resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare foodservice preferred.
• Ability to multitask while preparing and serving meals.
• Demonstrated initiative and teamwork.
• Positive attitude toward residents and staff.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals safely and appetizingly.
• Maintain kitchen, dining areas, and dishwashing areas clean and organized.
• Back up dishwashing operator and assist with cleaning pots and pans.
• Report equipment issues or missing/ spoiled items to supervisor or dietary manager.
• Follow guidance from CDM/Administrator and complete assigned tasks on time.
