Luna Grill is opening a new Chula Vista location and seeks a Lead Cook Level 2 to oversee kitchen operations, train the team, and ensure quality and speed of service.

You will lead with energy, uphold food safety and portion standards, and coordinate station assignments while maintaining Luna Grill standards. This role requires 2+ years of leadership in a high-volume setting and is a great growth opportunity within a people-first culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of kitchen leadership in a high-volume or fast-casual environment.
• Strong food prep, portion control, and recipe consistency.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation best practices.
• 18+ years old; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items per Luna Grill recipes and portions.
• Operate grills, fryers, ovens, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain food quality, safety, and sanitation.
• Set up and maintain a clean workstation throughout the shift.
• Support the kitchen team with prep, stocking, and closing duties.
• Direct and assist team members to ensure smooth shifts.
• Communicate with leadership and teammates to keep service efficient.
• Assist with dishwashing and other tasks as needed.
