Job summary

Qualifications

• At least one year of full-time or equivalent experience in the preparation and cooking of food in a large-scale setting.
• Must be certified as a food handler within six months of the appointment start date.
• Knowledge of standard methods and techniques in large-quantity cooking and food safety.
• Ability to train staff on utensils and equipment used in large quantity food preparation.
• Ability to supervise, plan and assign work based on job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and SOPs to fill orders promptly.
• Lead a small kitchen team and assign tasks for efficiency.
• Maintain sanitation, inventory par levels, and consistency with recipe standards.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding food and menu issues.
