Job summary

NANA Management Services is seeking a Lead Cook to support Land’s End Resort in Homer, AK. The ideal candidate will lead kitchen production, coordinate daily needs with supervision, and help develop menus while maintaining top sanitation and quality standards.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, three years lead cook experience, and English proficiency; certifications such as ServSafe or a food handler’s card are preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position in a hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• This role requires a High School diploma or GED.
• Must have or obtain a Municipality of Anchorage Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of three years of documented lead cook experience.
• Employees must speak, understand, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Perform main line cooking and production duties per shift.
• Review daily needs with supervisors; complete production sheets and verify supplies.
• Assist with menu and recipe development.
• Ensure quantity/quality control and sanitation of assigned areas.
• May supervise and train food service staff; arrange kitchen helpers as needed.
• Oversee food serving lines; ensure proper stock, setup and cleanliness.
• Fill in for other kitchen positions as needed; enforce rotation for produce/dairy.
• Maintain equipment and storage areas following safety procedures.
