Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Three years of documented lead cook experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs main line food and cooking production duties per shift.
• Reviews daily needs with supervisors, completes production sheets, reviews reports, and verifies supply needs.
• Assists supervisors with menu and recipe development.
• Maintains quantity and quality control and overall sanitation in production areas.
• May assist in supervision and training of food service personnel.
• Arranges for kitchen helpers to complete smaller item preparation.
• Oversees food serving lines and ensures proper stocking and cleanliness.
• Fills in for other kitchen positions as needed.
• Instructs others on rotation procedures for produce and dairy products.
• Maintains equipment and storage areas following safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by department or unit.
