Job summary

Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center in Westlake, TX, seeks a Cook I to lead production across banquet, market, Albero, and Ember operations. This full-time role requires strong leadership, precise execution, and a passion for quality.

You will mentor cooks, prepare menu items per recipes, monitor quality, and assist in menu development while ensuring proper storage and station setup for service.

Qualifications

• Three years of culinary experience.
• Culinary school preferred.
• High-volume, scratch cooking with guest contact experience.
• Basic Food Safety certification within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the culinary team through production, training, and coaching.
• Prepare food and menu items according to standard recipes.
• Monitor production and quality levels of all food products.
• Assist in developing and presenting new menu items to stay fresh and innovative.
• Receive and inspect food requisitions and rotate inventory.
• Ensure stations are set up, clean, and properly stored after shift.
• Assist in other kitchens as needed (banquets, buffets, a la carte).
