Job summary

King Street Brewing Company seeks a Lead Cook to supervise and participate in high-volume production of our artisanal menu within a fast-paced taproom environment. You will oversee kitchen flow, ensure consistent food quality, and guide a small culinary team under NMS’s safety culture.

This role requires strong culinary skills, inventory management, and the ability to adapt to a busy service. Applicants should have two years of lead cook experience, be fluent in English, and obtain the Anchorage

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain a Municipality of Anchorage Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years as a lead cook.
• Must speak, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee high-volume production of signature menu items.
• Manage kitchen flow, inventory, and supply needs.
• Train and supervise a small culinary team.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Ensure proper rotation and freshness of ingredients.
• Fill in for other kitchen positions when needed.
• Assist in menu and recipe development.
• Ensure lines and stations are stocked and clean.
• Comply with company safety culture policies.
