Job summary

King Street Brewing Company, operating under NMS banner, seeks a Lead Cook to supervise high-volume artisanal menu production in a fast-paced Anchorage taproom. You will oversee kitchen flow, ensure quality, manage a small culinary team, and uphold safety culture within the NMS framework.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, MOA Food Handler's Card or ServSafe within 30 days, and two years of lead cook experience. English proficiency is required to communicate across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must have or obtain Municipality of Anchorage Food Handler's Card or ServSafe Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must have two (2) years of documented experience as a lead cook.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Perform main line food production duties as assigned.
• Coordinate with supervisors on daily needs and production sheets.
• Assist with menu and recipe development.
• Ensure sanitation and quality control across production areas.
• May supervise and train food service staff.
• Arrange for kitchen helpers to assist with prep.
• Oversee serving lines and proper stocking and cleanliness.
• Fill in across general food service positions as needed.
• Instruct others on produce and dairy rotation procedures.
• Maintain equipment and storage areas following safety protocols.
• Support other staff as required.
