Job Summary
Prepares, cooks, and bakes food according to established recipes and standards for the hospital patients, staff, volunteers, and visitors. Oversees food production. Ensures that food is restocked and fresh. Leads the staff in working to improve and monitor recipes, cooking procedures and end products, food safety processes and documentation. Assists in orienting and training cooks and staff in new cooking techniques and procedures, new culinary equipment, and in following policies and procedures. Applies substantial knowledge and experience to perform a wide range of advanced activities and/or determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals; serves as working supervisor for team or work group.
