An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Cook to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals for residents, ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met. You will also supervise kitchen staff and assist with training and inventory management. The Cook is responsible for the preparation and serving of meals for the residents of Eskaton. He/She ensures high-quality food preparation, maintains cleanliness of the food service area, and indirectly supervises Cooks, Food Service Workers, and Dietary Aides.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Training and Experience: 2-4 years recent experience as a cook; restaurant background preferred.
Certifications: Serve Safe Certification preferred.
Knowledge of safe food handling and preparation, waste reduction practices, attractive presentation, and food quality testing. Broad knowledge of breakfast, lunch, and dinner preparation, including scratch soups, sauces, gravies, starches, and vegetables.
