Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Lead Cook at the University of Texas at Austin campus dining program. You will prepare nutritious meals, focus on customer service, and contribute to a positive dining experience for the university community.

The role involves weekday afternoon/evening shifts, a full-time schedule, and opportunities for ongoing training and benefits. You will work with a team to ensure quality, safety, and efficient kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of related work experience preferred
• Team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturing a healthy/safe working environment

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events
• Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
• Support management in daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
• Attend work and show up on time for scheduled shifts; maintain regular attendance
