Job summary

Pollak Innovation Management is seeking a Cook Supervisor to prepare and portion hot and cold items, serve meals on schedule, and supervise staff under the Dietary Manager. You will ensure proper temperatures, sanitation, and resident satisfaction while supporting policy adherence.

The role requires 1+ year in dietary healthcare or restaurant settings, and Serve Safe certification or progression within 90 days. Flexible hours and inventory coordination are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• High school or culinary tech graduate.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipes, production sheets, diet orders, tray tickets and staff responsibilities.
• Understand after training on computer software systems for resident information and preferences.
• Must be Serve Safe certified or able to earn within the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• The Cook Supervisor works under the direction of the Dietary Manager.
• Preparing and portioning hot and cold menu items according to the production sheet counts.
• Serving resident meals at correct meal service times.
• Coverage for staff when out sick.
• Record temperatures of food and equipment for each meal.
• Interact with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction and proper service.
• Maintain highest sanitation standards per state regulations.
• Practice clean, safe work environment.
• Willing to work flexible hours.
• Track inventory and communicate to Dietary Manager about low supplies or orders.
• Label, wrap and date unused items in proper areas.
• Support Pollak Innovation Management policies and procedures.
• In the absence of the Dietary Manager, oversee staff and operations.
